With an air comfort molded back, ultra-padded adjustable shoulder straps and the ability to store up to a 17″ laptop, this backpack combines all the features of your standard media-ready backpack with the addition of Level IIIA protection!
The anti-ballistic material is sewn right in, with 24 layers of Twaron in the center divider of this backpack. This allows for the largest possible protection area (larger than removable plates).

The ballistic inserts are built to meet Level IIIA threat requirements. They have been tested by an independent ballistic lab.
Backpacks with ballistic protection weigh only 19 – 27 ounces more than a non-protected pack (based on the pack size).
The panels are constructed using 24 layers of ballistic material made by Netherlands-based Twaron. Twaron is a strong, synthetic para-aramid fiber similar to Kevlar®. It is used in the global production of body armor, helmets, and ballistic vests. Twaron is also five times stronger than steel. It is also chemical resistant and cut resistant. Its strength is not lost even if it encounters several abrasions and stretching.
The panels are die cut, tack stitched in 24 layer pieces and sealed in a moisture resistant black nylon outer cover that inhibits UV light and moisture that can reduce the useful life of the material.
The build date is stamped on each panel, which has a 5-year useful life.
TIPS FOR PARENTS
Will The Gun Fit?
All purses on the site will have dimensions for the gun compartment. Always allow at least a half inch of clearance at the zipper.
Example: Gun compartment is 8.5” W x 7” H.
If your gun is less than 8" long (end to end) and less than 6.5" tall, it should fit.
Use a Good Holster!

The nylon/elastic purse holsters that most manufacturers include with the bags are a place to start, but they will not be a good fit for many guns.
Your gun won't "snap in" - these holsters have zero retention. If you tip the holster upside down, the gun will slip out. We strongly recommend getting a kydex purse holster that's molded for your specific gun model, with snap-in retention.
You'll get several loose adhesive velcro sheets with it, so you can attach it however you prefer inside your bag (or any surface).
